A new HFCS-free cracker

>> Thursday, February 26, 2009

A while back I wrote about crackers and HFCS. Wheat Thins was one of the brands rife with HFCS. Well, Wheat Thins has a new HFCS-free cracker out! Wheat Thins Fiber Select Garden Vegetable is HFCS and trans-fat free! It's a tasty cracker that has a better flavor (in my opinion) than regular wheat thins. It's still rather salty, but that seems to be the case with all crackers.

Be warned, though - the rest of the Wheat Thin line all contains HFCS. Even the other Fiber Selects 5-Grain flavor contains HFCS. It seems that only the Fiber Select Garden Vegetable flavor beat the HFCS trend.

I ate some of the HFCS crackers today! :(

I'll be on the lookout for these! Thanks!

Yippee!!! I love Wheat Thins and have yet to find an acceptable alternative that we like. (I'm pretty sure it's not worth my while to figure out HOW to make crackers...) So, I can't wait to try these. Thanks!

Oh good, go new wheat thins!

I gotta get around to making my own crackers again. Tasty stuff. Need to restock on my rosemary first though.

I am going to have to try these because I love wheat thins and can't imagine any cracker being better.

I will try them. I really don't think I need HFCS in my cracker to make it tastier.

This is good news all around. Are you noticing a trend in HFCS free foods? I am.

My mom bought me some dried blueberries that had, "Now made with sugar" on the label. I wondered why in the world they would want to advertise this. I really don't want a bunch of sugar in my fruit. However, I looked up their web-site and they used to use HFCS, so an improvement in my opinion.

Now that I'm hooked on these... my local store is usually out of them. Argh! I forgot what you said about the 5-grain having HFCS and bought those instead. Grrrr... Now, when we see the veggie ones- we stock up!!! :)

does it is better than Cheez-it baked Snack Crackers? they are the best, and it'd be nice if I could taste this new product.
